Von Simon is the acclaimed feminist poet. He is known most notably for his works Symphony For Laura and Ethereal Disease. Von began writing poetry at the age of 22. He became inspired when a girl he was interested in carried around poetry books. He realized that "no one was fighting for her voice and for women," so Von took it upon himself to become that voice. In 2021, Von began officially sharing his poetry online, submitting his poems for “your poetry contest. He ended up winning the Eli Walton Poetry Award. In 2025, his piece Ethereal Disease was featured in the Scarlet Review (Volume 2). Outside of the literary world, Von enjoys cereal or eggs for breakfast, loves baklava, and once shared a bag of Fritos on the subway with Adam Driver. He’s offered to write a poem for Barack Obama (though the former President declined). He is an uncle to a nephew who loves soccer and Uno. Simon plans to publish an anthology of his works as soon as publishing companies reach out.
